As part of their plans for National Apprenticeship Week 2020, 91制片厂鈥檚 senior managers and curriculum leaders went back to basics, shadowing the College鈥檚 apprentices in their workplace.

The College, which is part of the Group, delivers over 50 Apprenticeship programmes.

First up was Karen Westsmith, Director of Adult and Community. Karen visited Level 3 IT apprentice Naeem Khondoker at , where he鈥檚 making his mark in the IT Department.

Karen enjoyed a tour of the historic school, chatted to Tony Fox, Head of ICT, and learnt more about Naeem鈥檚 Apprenticeship.

Karen said: 鈥淪peaking to Naeem, it鈥檚 clear he has benefited so much from his Apprenticeship. He has big plans for the future, and would like to progress to a Degree Apprenticeship.

鈥淚鈥檇 like to thank Bolton School for such a warm welcome and for giving Naeem this amazing opportunity.鈥

Next, it was the turn of Mike Bruns, the College鈥檚 Curriculum Leader for Sport & Public Services. He visited Molly Breakspere at , where she works as an apprentice Personal Trainer.

Molly put Mike through his paces with a spin session, then told him why an Apprenticeship works for her, and her plans for the future. 听

Mike said: 鈥淎n Apprenticeship is a great way to get qualified as a Personal Trainer - Molly鈥檚 working alongside experts in the field, and earning a wage at the same time. It鈥檚 a win-win.鈥澨

Curriculum Leader for Teaching & Early Years, Jennifer Coke, called in on Clarice Greenhalgh and Katie Bushell, both Childcare apprentices, working at .

Jennifer said: 鈥淚t was so interesting seeing the apprentices put their classroom learning in to practice.

鈥淜atie would eventually like to own her own nursery, and Clarice would like to become a Teaching Assistant. Seeing them interacting with the children, I am sure they will both fulfil their ambitions.鈥
